We have decided that our Banquet and Award Ceremony will be held on December 12, 2009.  We will meet at the Sierra Vista Riding Club arena at 2pm.  At the gymkhana on November 14, there will be a sign up sheet for members to write how many people they will be bringing to the award ceremony and a sign up to bring a dish for a pot luck.  Along with the potluck our food vendor will be offering Sloppy Joes and Hot Dogs for $1.50.  We still haven't decided if we would like to do a fun day or just the award ceremony.  Please let us know what you think!

Buckles have been ordered!!! Prizes are starting to come in!  It is going to be a great Award Ceremony!

Trail Ride

We are planning to ride Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009 on the trail ride from Fairbanks to Tombstone.  Riders, horses and trailers need to leave the club by 7:30 AM.  We will be loading as many horses in as few trailers as possible.  Drivers will be transporting those riders and horses to Fairbanks, dropping them off and returning to Tombstone to await the completion of the ride and if the drivers are riding we will transport them back to Fairbanks.

There will other riders from the surrounding areas who have ridden this trail and will be joining and accompanying us.

Charlie will be  breaking off with those that only want to do a one hour ride.  Others may continue on the 3 hour ride into Tombstone.  Riders may want to ride into Tombstone and possibly tie up while they have lunch.  Some may just want to ride down Allen Street and then take their horses back to the trailer. Riders must bring their own water, snacks, drinks for themselves and water for the horses.

I need to know who needs rides for themselves and their horses. Who will be taking their own trailer and how many additional horses may accompany them.

IT’S GOING TO BE A GREAT TIME!!!!!!!!  We already have commitments from 5 riders.
